DPG media, one of Belgium's largest media companies and owner of QMusic, among others, was facing a quality problem with audio streams. When people dialed in to the radio, the quality was grossly inadequate. They therefore came to Teamtel for a complete overhaul of QMusic's telephony system. We discussed the needs of their telephony and how it should fit into their broad IT infrastructure. We implemented a new solution using 3CX. The result is better audio quality at a lower cost. Below you can read our Q&A with Kurt Vervondel of DPG Media.
Before our partnership with Teamtel , we experienced many IT challenges, especially with our telephony infrastructure. The phone lines were of poor quality, leading to failures and frustrations by our users. In addition, intervening in the configuration of our PBX was not really possible, making us dependent even for the smallest adjustments. We were looking for a user-friendly system that could be easily modified and expanded when needed. In addition, we wanted a solution that was future-proof, with a strong focus on audio quality and flexibility in capabilities. Teamtel offered exactly what we needed: a reliable, scalable and high-quality telephony solution.
Teamtel addressed this challenge by first setting up a Proof of Concept (PoC) so that we could extensively test the new system before making the full switch. This gave us assurance that the solution met our requirements and expectations. Throughout the process, Teamtel actively thought with us and responded to our specific needs. Their flexibility and expertise allowed us to switch quickly and efficiently. Upon final delivery, we immediately noticed a significant improvement: phone lines were more stable, audio quality was much better, and the system provided the flexibility we needed to easily make adjustments and manage internal lines more efficiently.
