Cloud telephony is gaining momentum in Belgium.
More and more companies are switching from a traditional PBX (on-premise) to a PBX in the cloud. So what are the main reasons for this switch?
Simplicity, price and flexibility
Every business has its own requirements and reason for switching to cloud telephony. However, there are some universal benefits that apply to every business:
- Flexibility
With a cloud PBX you can be reached wherever and however you want!Easily call from home with your laptop or be reachable on the job via fixed mobile integration.
- Scalable
Cloud telephony allows you to easily add or remove users at any time
- Cost savings
No more expensive equipment or maintenance contracts. Pay only for what you need and consume.
- Better customer service
Easily set up your own call flow for optimal reachability.Manage your own call queues, call menu, call groups, opening hours and voicemails.
- Better understanding
To measure is to know! With comprehensive reporting tools, you get a much better view of your calling behavior and easily track employee performance.
What are the drawbacks?
Are there any drawbacks to cloud telephony? Of course, nothing is perfect.
For companies with more than 500 employees, the long-term cost of cloud telephony is higher. The one-time purchase of a physical PBX is much higher, but over a 7-year period will be more advantageous than a cloud PBX.
For companies up to 500 employees, however, there are few if any disadvantages to a cloud-based PBX. Both price, features and reliability are better than an on-premises PBX.
