Don't try to save money by installing fewer Wi-Fi access points. With the proliferation of smartphones, tablets, laptops, printers and other devices, even a company with fewer than 10 employees can have many dozens of devices connected to the network.
Installing more access points will provide more spread. This will allow the different access points to provide stronger signal.
- Placement of the access point or wifi amplifier
The location of access points is crucial to good performance. This is because anything between the access point and the Wi-Fi equipment weakens the signal.

- Do not use the default channel

Channels 1, 6 and 11 are the best Wi-Fi channels because they do not overlap. If there are multiple wireless networks in the neighborhood, it is often better to transmit over channel 1, 6 or 11 than to choose an overlapping channel.
- Make sure you have the latest firmware
Just like all software and firmware in your IT environment, Wi-Fi access points should always be updated with the latest updates. An update often means an improvement in signal strength.
