Start with internet telephony?
Getting started with internet telephony is very easy and requires relatively little investment. To get started with internet telephony you need 3 things:
- SIP trunk
- VoIP telephone system
- IP phones or headsets to make calls via PC
What exactly do words like SIP trunk and VoIP PBX mean?
SIP trunk

VoIP telephone system
Your PBX must support the IP protocol. If it is not currentlycalling VoIP, chances are you will need a new PBX. Thanks to VoIP , this PBX can be located in the cloud. This eliminates the need to invest in an expensive physical phone system.

IP phones or headsets
If you make calls over the Internet, your telephones must also support the IP protocol. You can make calls using either a landline or a portable phone. Count on about between €100 and €180 for a good IP phone.
You can also call perfectly through your PC or laptop. Then you only need a headset to make calls. Count between €50 and €200 for a decent headset.
